David - Alpine, UT 84004
My experience with western heating and air has been great. They came highly recommended from a friend and so I had them replace my air conditioning unit and later to clean my duct work. The quality of work was great. The technicians who came to my home we're friendly, professional and people you felt very comfortable with in your home. I dealt primarily with Mark and Chance. I should note that I had some unrelated issues at my home that I assumed were a result of the A/C installation. Turns out, it had nothing to do with the installation; yet, they took care of the problem promptly and happily. Highly recommend this company.
Competent and pleasant service

Came out for 4 msc tune ups. They have the home for 5 but the one ac is no longer in use. Found the ac for the upstairs shop. Has a leaking fan motor and the capacitor is testing below recommended amount. All filters are in good in all systems. All electrical components are testing properly and working properly for all other units. Systems what no other issues see health report card. Gave options for repairs and wsc. John will let us know what he wants to do. All systems were working properly when I left the call.

Wesley D.
Performed 2 ac tune ups. Systems are running well. Main system filter was dirty, replaced with a new one. Rest of the systems are running well. Recommend surge protectors for equipment. Warranties do not cover surges. Both systems up and running when i left.

Performed two maintenance plan AC tuneups. Overall both systems are working well. The downstairs furnace had a high static pressure. See health report cards for more info. Installed new aprilaire conversion kit to downstairs furnace to help lower the static pressure. After doing so the static pressure was down where it should be. Also performed an evap coil cleaning and blower cleaning on the unit.

Shannon invited us out today for 2 AC tune ups! I started at the basement unit which overall is running correctly however, it is starting to show its age. There is some rust build up on the coil and the contactor at the condenser is in pretty rough shape. Moving on to the attic unit, initially the condenser would not kick on with a call for cool. I found that the contactor was not transferring proper voltage and that the capacitor was reading out of spec. After solving both of those issues, the condenser still did not kick on.. after quite the search I was finally able to find that a connection at the wet switch had come loose. All in all, both systems are cooling! Thank you for having us out today!

Wesley D.
Performed ac tune up. Blower motor is over amping and has oil coming from the motor. Blower motor capacitor is running weak. Static pressure is high in blower cabinet. Temp split is to high. After looking at the outside unit, i noticed that the line set was starting to freeze. I used my refrigerant sniffer and found where it was coming from. Due to age of equipment. I would recommend replacement over repairs. Talked with you about having comfort advisor come and give a free estimate on replacement. You didn’t want to do anything at this time. System is up and running when i left.

14â€-16†Round filter register 20x25 for convenience with existing filter register.

Call for noise complaint. Upon inspection no abnormal noises coming from either furnace the one set screw for the filter cabinet was a little loose so we did tighten it down so it wouldn’t jostle around. No abnormal noises at this point in time. For older furnace we can always upgrade to a like filter like the new furnace these will last longer and perform better as far as filtering.

Easton F.
AC tune up, test great. Clint came out to look at furnaces

Wesley D.
Performed 2 ac tune ups. System look good. Filters are a little bit dirty. Both systems are running within specs. We talked about the ICM head pressure control for the one unit. That helps system run when it is cold outside. Both systems are within specs. Coils clean and both have surge protectors. IAQ is Operating correctly. Both system up and running when I left. Put both thermostats back to heating.

Jeff M.
AC tune up refer to health inspection report form. Static pressure is high because the lack of return making it into equipment. This will effect efficiency equipment runtimes and overall longevity. Recommend adding a return. Blower motor capacitor has a 6.7% drop and is recommended to be replaced once a 5% drop is observed. There does appear to be potentially something wrong with refrigerant charge given temperature split inside and on searching with refrigerant detector did find both service valves leaking. Tightened the valve cores down as much as possible and rechecked they are still leaking mildly. Recommendations refer to estimates.

Complete AC tuneup on both units also replaced customers humidifier tank and cleaned the blower wheel

I came to do a prepaid ac tune up. There is a water leak at the inside unit. We need to redo the pvc drain line. The humidifier is leaking and needs a new pad. They do not have a wet switch. The filter is dirty. Today I did an ac tune up. I changed the filter. I put one of there humidifier pads in for them. I teflon taped the fitting leaking at furnace. They did not want a wet switch today. The ac is ready to run this summer.

Ben N.
I came to do a prepaid ac tune up on a 2011 bryant ac. The contactor has pitting and burning. They have not added ac renew. They are up for renewal on there monument club. Today I did a 29 point ac tune up. I changed the filters. They renewed there monument club for one year. They replaced there contactor. They added ac renew to there system. The ac is ready to run this summer.

Call for no heat on basement 80% Furnace. Found the Buss Fuse had blown. Shut power off at breaker and pulled switch out to check for any possible shorts did see some burning had taken place no voltage wires noticed to have burned adjusted the way some of the wires laid in the junction box put back together replaced the fuse and turned power back on to the furnace. Unit came on and began running with no fuse popping due to a short in the 120v system. System running on departure. Recommendations refer to estimates.

Wayne R.
Humidistat in wrong spot and the humidifier terminals weren’t giving the 24 voltage.

2 unit tune up. Main unit. This unit is showing its age. The furnace which acts as an air handler is new and in great shape. The temp split on this unit is lower than it should be by a few degrees. This could be an indication of a refrigerant problem, however it is too cold today to hook up our tools to be able to tell. The condenser fan motor is starting to leak and foes not spin freely. The compressor upon start up has a high amp draw and could benefit from a hard start kit. Lastly the contactor is pitted and burned and likely needs replaced. System uses r22 type refrigerant which is obsolete and is expensive to repair. Attic unit. The furnace for this unit is old and needs to have the blower cleaned. This unit is in slightly better shape, though it has many of the same problems. The temp split on this unit is too high at 30 degrees. We may have freezing issues with this unit. It needs to be warmer to check refrigerant. The condenser fan motor does not have oil visible but does no

Came out for 4 complementary first year furnace tune ups and 3 msc prepaid tune ups. Found on the lower shop west side furnace there is significant water damage from the flue on the top of furnace we need to replace this parts so it stops leaking. I ordered part from Goodman will be sent to the Orem shop. All other furnaces are testing and working properly see health report cards. John is going to replace the filters himself. All furnaces were working properly when I left the call. Will do a done for now today. Came back on March 2 to fix vent problem on furnace. If problem keeps happening we need to send the install team back it is a install problem. I did fix it today with a new vent connector pice. System was working properly when I left the call.

2 unit furnace tune up. Main unit. These units are pretty new and are operating properly, the only issue that could lead to problems and premature failure of components, is the filter set up. The unit is only pulling through a 1 in filter and it doesn’t allow enough air flow. See estimates for solutions. Attic. This unit is in good shape and is running within specs. Filters will need to be changed in the next month or so. Thanks

Call no heat. Unit was not on upon arrival even though thermostat was calling for heat. Temp Rise (50-80): High Limit 190 Return - 77 Supply - 135 Temp Rise - 58 Static Pressure Return - .09 After Filter - .33 Before Coil - .39 Supply - .09 Total - .72 Flame sensor on its first start up was jumping back and forth somewhat regularly but straightened out and held 2.5 mV acceptance is between 2-5 given its difficulty reaching that point and it bouncing from nearly 0-2 system may be having difficulty with noticing flame at the flame sensor. But with that being said it did run for duration with no error faults. Checked how inducer was pulling checking in well over the needed the pressure to close pressure switches no noticeable problems with that. Checked pressure switches to see how they homed across the switch the pressure switch in he bottom did have an occupational jump in ohms from 0 to about 14 or so ohms but rechecked after disconnecting and reconnecting and it didn’t do t

I came to tune up the 2003 lennox furnace. The blower wheel is dirty. Flame sensor weak. Filters dirty. They do not have an air scrubber. They want a duct cleaning. Today I did a 29 point furnace tune up. I cleaned the blower wheel. I changed out the flame sensor. I changed the filters. The furnace was running when I left. They want to get there ducts cleaned. I scheduled this with the office. Two guys are coming out wednesday march 3rd at 8am. They are interested in an air scrubber. Have the techs bring one just in case.

Duct cleaning 2/22/2021 Changed humidifier pad. Signed her up for a MSC (1 year 5 unit package). Two of which are fire places. 2 furnaces and 1 AC. Upon her request the MSC is prepaid in advance, she wants it to start after her complimentary tuneup in August. Replaced inducer motor and housing, it is covered under warranty.

Tracy F.
Came out for no heat. Found inducer motor has failed. The cooling fan broke off. The part and labor are under warranty I’m going to call Goodman on Monday to track down part. The duct cleaners are coming on Monday if part is available they will install it on Monday. Furnace was not working when I left the call.
